I will use the Tiger II tank as a parallel. They were over engineered, prone to break downs, more costly to make, were not good in urban areas, and consumed enormous amounts of fuel. The Tiger II tanks production were a lot smaller than the older tanks, albeit our strategic bombing was a variable. Despite the Tiger II, the legacy or older tanks were quite lethal against allied tanks. It is important to have legacy weapons systems that can change the face of the battles and wars. We must continue to push for new technology and weapons systems, it might ultimately turn into a Revolution in Military Affairs.
