Well, true if not slightly inaccurate. Background. The fencing built under the 2006 act was not the first border fencing in the United States. The U.S. Border Patrol first began to erect physical barriers in its San Diego sector in 1990. Fourteen miles of fencing were erected along the border of San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico. Trump’s wall (to be paid for by Mexico) was a hollow boast to gain votes with no sound financial or architectural backing. But, troops along the border supplemented by drones would be much more effective than a wall that people might tunnel under.

Walls don't work? Speaking of dummies... The Maginot Line wasn't a wall. There is no place like Belgium at either end of the Mexican/American border. And, instead of making fun of The Wall, how about telling us your views on "borders". Your party is quite vocal in their support of open borders. Now, if you want to talk about dumb ideas, let's start there. So, let's be honest. If we had borders, we wouldn't need walls, but your party wants neither. Thus, you hide behind crap such as this presentation to avoid telling Americans about your true intentions... [PS: I can cite countless examples of walled cities and Mexico's own wall on it's Southern Border. Now, if we were to load the Democrats in Congress and send them to Mexico, I suspect that the Mexicans would build a wall]

Who has said that we want, "Open" borders? The argument is that a physical barrier has been shown to be impractical, too costly and ineffective. The position, from the beginning, has been to stem the flow of immigration by helping to provide opportunity elsewhere, add CBP agents and beef up technological intervention measures. Nothing about that suggests that we want open borders or, even more silly, no border at all. This whole notion that this is an emergency is ludicrous. Sort of like saying that my house is on fire, I better start taking bids on building a fire station. one doesn't respond to an immediate emergency with a decades long solution.

I saw we outlaw walls. Since they are immoral they should not be allowed for politicians homes, or government lands or buildings. Yup put it in the bill now “No more walls” . Hell I fell better already. And while we’re at it, let’s start sending these poor helpless illegal immigrants right to the closest place to where these politicians live. I think their opinion may change.
