James Mattis, the respected Marine general and leader who resigned as SECDEF in December, received a massive standing ovation at a dinner in Washington DC. Remember, General "Mad Dog" Mattis resigned from SECDEF to protest Donald Trump's damaging effect on US relations with our NATO allies. Mattis was widely considered the "adult in the room" when it came to military policy, and with him gone, the US is left with people such as Cadet Bone Spurs and John Bolton (who also dodged the draft but wants us to go die in wars of aggression in Iran or North Korea) managing the show.

Mattis would get a standing ovation just about anywhere he went. Is that supposed to be news? Mattis did not really say why he resigned except that the president should have a sec def whose views were more aligned with his (that was in his resignation letter).
Mattis was not the only adult in the room but I am sure you feel clever saying it. I am not sure why you think Trump is for more wars of aggression anywhere. He has not been and shows a willingness to remove us from the places we are today.
