Not necessarily a bad thing
and good for the Veteran.
However, the process of scheduling these appointments are passed to a third party, and the Choice Program has resulted in the overcharging/skimming of millions (OIG found $89M). There is no accountability. Nobody gets fired, or go to jail. Maybe they have to pay some money back, but they have been able to leverage stolen money to increase their wealth. Let a Veteran scam the VA out of $10k, and they get locked up.
Just another way the wealthy rob the poor (taxpayers).

MAJ Montgomery Granger Sounds good to me,since i live 38.3 miles from the nearest facility. Just under the 40 mile limit,now in place.
