I do not think our military can get away with a few of Genghis Khan's actions. Like total destruction of one city to make all other cities fall in line. Or, the use of human shields. Like we see with some Islamic terror groups fighting Israel. But we can learn a great deal from Khan's military.
Like maneuver and changing our main weapon to fit the situation. Notice how a force of Khan's mounted cavalry would attack, then pull back. Or, move quickly large distance and attack with overwhelming speed. He was not limited to ridgid thinking.
My business is weak comparied to my enemies. So, I must hit where they are weakest and I must win before I ever cross the line of departure. I too, as a business man, must not be ridgid in my thoughts in gaining victory. Business is war.
Sometimes, when I am in the gym and I am angry, I work out harder. It helps me think how to move forward. Khan is a good example of how to win and think in a forward manner. As well as outside the box.
I learned maneuver was key during my active duty time from some hard chargers that did two tours in Vietnam. They knew what they were teaching worked.
