I read somewhere last week about the masses that are leaving the socialist bastions heading south. Why don't they stay and fight the stupidity as opposed to running away. I feel sorry for the Florida natives.

A retired parent from the Northeast USA moved to Florida... I'm shocked, shocked! What's the point, here?? IN the article she refers specifically to Real Estate taxes... hmmm, who do we know who got rich in the Real Estate business? I suspect what she meant was property taxes. Not at all surprising that (a mere 1%) of Americans are moving away from large cities to more simple, lower-cost areas as they age. I'm actually surprised it's that low. BTW - her mom: “Some in the media, especially Fox News, look for anything they can find to criticize Alexandria. They don’t even check the facts.” You GO Mrs. Ocasio-Cortez!!

I think the point is some states tax the hell out of you and some people are leaving to go to more friendly states. It has already been well documented that business are moving away from New York because of the cost of doing business, and their own governor has been quoted as complaining about people and companies leaving. Yet AOC wants to tax people more to pay for some unattainable folly.
