The US Army Is Trying to Bury the Lessons of the Iraq War

I think "ignore" is more accurate than "bury." It's about opportunity cost. The mentality, right or wrong, is that a war like Iraq can cost billions of dollars and thousands of lives, but while we were focused on that, we were ignoring threats that could literally end us, which counter-insurgencies halfway around the word cannot.
