Thanks Thomas, I for one appreciate your post, and it is great to see a post like this with vets honoring those that did not return. It is a shame that there are RP Vets that do not feel the same as you and I do.

PO3 Bob McCord - I too know the names of three good friends that returned under a flag. And that is not to mention the 74 shipmates from our Battle group with my ship, the USS Kearsarge CV-33 that departed Long Beach Naval base in 1969 went down with the USS Frank E. Evans DD-745 Southeast of Saigon. They never got to return at all since not a single body was recovered.......Although I did not know them all personally, it was a sad day when we returned from deployment.
