Mercury (train) - Wikipedia

Only did a long train trip once, did the auto train from DC to Florida and loved it. When in college took train between Hartford and DC many times but that was more like a commuter train than a real train trip.

My first train trip was from San Antonio, TX to Albany, GA. I had just finished dog handler school and was PCS'ing to my first duty station. Had my dog in the baggage compartment. There were 12 of us, each soldier going to a different station. Every time the train stopped, we would get our dogs out to walk and do their business. You should have seen the looks from other passengers,,, lol
Only rode a train here in the states one other time,

I did travel some while in Europe. Great! Also in Korea,, nice but too crowded.
