They pay some very good salaries. Some places nearly double what you are paid in US. Sometimes there are reasons....in the middle of no where.... but most are in the big cities.

Sadly, "made in America" no longer means what it says anymore. The lawsuits against motor city proved that. As long as X percent of the car is "completed/finished/assembled/tested" in the USA, they are allowed to put a "made in America" sticker on it. Even tho over 90% of the car contains foreign parts, portions made in China, etc.

Consider that the cruises we take are on ships that are "American ships" belonging to an "American company" yet there are foreign flags and crew onboard. This has been going on for some time now. And sadly, "they" know their audience. Like Msgt Heather alluded to, below.
