I know this is humor but it is so true, I can tell you my liason team was 11 soldiers, 4 officers the rest Staff Sergeant and above. Only the 4 officers got bronze stars out of those 4 only 1 ever went out with the enlisted and that was a 1st Lt. Our LTC did not even attend higher command staff meetings she sent a SFC, which was the only enlisted at the staff meeting.

Frighteningly close to the truth. How many folks have we met that got BSs and never left the wire? I personally know two.
