Here we go again. My last job before retirement from private industry was Manager, Project Management with Fujitsu Network Systems. PM is a powerful group that has the responsibility of concept to delivery of a new product or service to market. My advice is if you want to go in that direction is determine what Project Management Applications are currently in use and become familiar with it. That was my first question when conducting interviews for new hires.

By applications, do you mean software (MS Project, Trello, and other kan-bans) or methodologies (scrum, etc.)?

SGT (Join to see) The former, haven’t seen or heard of the others. But, I officially retired 1999. Not sure what app or methodologies are in vogue today.
