This report says black and Hispanic service members are more likely to face trial

This article raises two questions in my mind. First, why does the Military Times consider this bit of identity politics newsworthy? Second, doesn't the military just reflect the nature of the society from which it is drawn? Men have about 17 times as much testosterone as women (gross average) and are about 13 times as violent as women and end up in prison about 13 times as often as women. People of all colors who grow up in high crime areas on average commit mores crimes. Turns out the military reflects that too. What the article fails to mention is, after the study "discovers" what I've just said, what will they DO about it?
