I still would like to know why he stabbed the wounded detainee in the neck/shoulder area as was stated during investigation and trial? Though it wasn’t the killing blow, why did it happen?

That was the best news I've heard in a while. What is it with the younger generation. I think they shouldn't have the media or cameras on the battlefield. All My drill Sgt. In basic and Infantry School in the 70's were all Vietnam vets. They told us stories a lot worse than this. And yes if a shoeshine boy came towards me or my squad. I would have gladly sent him into the wild blue yonder with hesitation. Because hesitation will get you killed. And if anyone said anything. The commander would have called us to attention. And told everyone that so and so said you shot a kid or whatever. And then dismissed us. The rest would have had a little talk with them. And there should never be any rules to war. The only rule should be you better win.

Can't say I am surprised and seriously this is NOT a dog on the Navy but what is up lately?

This case and before that a case where near the entire Naval command was biased and judging, making inappropriate pre-trial comments? I am sure there are more. Almost like they wanted to tank a case or something.
