While in Navy Boot Camp at San Diego in 1966 a recruit in my company left a pack of cigarettes in a dungaree shirt in his locker. It was found by the RTC inspecting officer. After the inspection team left, our Company Commander made him eat the remaining cigarettes while everyone else did pushups until he was done.
