I'd always found this, from a purely technical standpoint, albeit complete fiction, one of the most technically accurate sci-fi space films I'd ever seen...the acting was totally deadpan, from all I saw, plus, for once, there was absolutely no noise in the vacuum scenes in orbit, thank God....

Trust me, if you haven't seen it, find it, this one is quite famous, actually, among serious die-hard sci-fi afficionados....

Yeah, trust me, this one is well worth it...it was released well before the whole Apollo 13 thing actually happened, yrs before the Tom Hanks flick about that...this is, trust me, one of the single most technically accurate space films made, about and showing real hardware simulations, with quite taut acting...the only other one done nearly as technically accurately in the space scenes, though, of course, that was pure fantasy, was 2001, which I saw with my next younger brother who'd gone to USMMA Kings Point when we were kids, however, I found this one quite a good deal superior in its own way....
