I have found everyone of these is accurate. The other is in the service you are always told to speak up, as a civilian I was constantly told to tone it down.

Active: i deserve to have a separate line at the pharmacy because I have to get back to my important work, while the retirees can afford to wait all day

veteran: i have to get back to my civilian job, and that soldier is probably going to swing by the PX and tell his 1SG that he waited a long time at the pharmacy.
