While this is aimed at the recruiters, military members who are transitioning would do well to read it and perhaps change some things on their profiles.

Lt Col Charlie Brown I was just thinking the same thing. One of the major issues I saw during transition was translating military to civilian. Sometimes it's job titles, sometimes it's duties, but most of all it's priorities. Things that are priority in the military may not be the top priority in the civilian world and focusing on the wrong priority erodes your marketability.

I’d put #4 on the top of the To Do List. From my experience civilian recruiters, hiring managers will not understand a military resume. So you change military to civilian job titles as an example. Don’t assume civilian job progression is the same as the military. Ensure your job titles look like a pyramid. Basic jobs and then your more advanced jobs.
