My first time I ever rode on a C-130 was a short hop between Bagram Air Field and FOB Sharana in Afghanistan. Within 5 minutes of take off I already preferred it to flying around in a Chinook or Blackhawk. In a few firefights we were able to get a "Spooky" on station, and everyone always feels better with that guy around.
