He didn’t exactly say this, but the gist of his lawsuits say exactly that by stating the founders did:
“The framers of our Constitution understood that state and local prosecutors would be tempted to criminally investigate the president to advance their own careers and to advance their political agendas,” the suit reads. “And they likewise understood that having to defend against these actions would distract the president from his constitutional duties.”
What a BS argument.

He is correct. However in this case, most if not all of the "crimes" are concocted.

POTUS believes that he is so special and entitled that he is shielded from all rules of law. And so far he has gotten away w/ this posture, mainly because Congress Republicans are complicit in their deafening silence.
And he persistently places our military at risk by repeatedly rejecting the advice of the intelligence community. He is yet to acknowledge the massive interference by the who openly favor him. He is so unprepared to be C-in-C. BTW during my 1969 to 1973, Nixon was C-in-C; and for a year he froze all military raises and promotions? At the height of this conflict, we had 650,000 soldiers stationed there.
