What impeachment process? The Dems aren't following any impeachment process and that's why Trump isn't going to cooperate. If the Dems actually want him to cooperate, they'll grow up and take their thumbs out of their mouths and stop their tantrums and start playing by the established rules. But they won't do that because that would subject Trump to due process and the Dems have nothing to base their impeachment on.

Cpl Mark McMiller - And the Constitution states that "Each House may determine the rules of its proceedings..."

Jefferson's Manual says that impeachment "is set in motion by charges made on the floor, charges proferred by a memorial, a member's resolution referred to a committee, a message from the president, or from facts developed and reported by an investigating committee of the House."

That's it. There is no requirement for a floor vote to start the inquiry.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Yea, I know that, but procedures have been established for impeachment and those procedures require a vote to start an impeachment inquiry. If the Dems don't follow those procedures, it gives the President and Senate Republicans cover to not cooperate. Whether the Dems follow procedure or not though, I doubt the Republican controlled Senate will convict or remove the President. I doubt they will even hold a trial. That's why I've been saying that when the dust settles, Trump will still be President.

Cpl Mark McMiller - No, those procedures do not say that. I quoted what the procedures state.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Well, then, if that's the way it works, and there is nothing stopping the Dems from impeaching, why are they dragging their feet? I mean, there is nothing that says they have to parade witnesses in front of Congress, so why waste time if they're so sure they can prove Trump's wrongdoing?

I polled our household. We have a 66.66% approval rating for what POTUS is doing and a 33.33% who does not follow politics. A very legitimate poll with strict controls.

SSgt (Join to see) - First, how you interpret my comment is not under my control, but I will note that I said nothing about your family, just that low-information voters should be educated.

Ah, I see. You are a lawyer that shows that context does not matter and that a statement made can stand on its own.
First, your statement *is* under your control.
Second, that reply you "corrected" was part of a conversation and certainly has context.
Third, you shirk any responsibility by saying "...how you interpret my comment is not under my control..."
Bless your heart.

SSgt (Join to see) - First, I never said that the statement was not under my control, I said that your interpretation is not under my control. Second, I "fixed it for you" has been recognizable as snark for ages.

You are the one that made the inference that your family should be considered "low-information".

No vote, no process......gloating, while promoting the democratic corruption, on top of posting a comedians opinion as your base post, makes it hard to even entertain your seriousness.

Please show me in the Constitution where it states that the House has to have a vote to begin the impeachment process.
