I actually got a ticket for having an air freshener and my high school tassel hanging off my rearview mirror "obstructing my view".
I thought it was bullshit, but paid the stupid $25 fine.

Looks like a case of "driving while black". Could also be a case of small town boredom. Usually city cops (like me) don't have the time to chase nickle and dime violations like something hanging from the RV mirror. We're too busy chasing armed robbers and gang bangers. It could also be an excuse to pull someone over that you have been hunting for awhile (usually a bad guy). But all in all, its simply bullshit.
