This whole episode is ridiculous.
I'm embarrassed by the conduct of officials here.
There is a chain-of-command. Obviously, stuff does not usually go all the way to the President, but he has spoken and that's how it is. For officials to publicly disagree like this is not acceptable.
Likewise, I think that the SOF community can make decisions about who is in the club. Pardon or not, Gallagher did plenty to warrant a review.

I could not agree with you more. He was found guilty of at least one charge and probably should receive some form of punishment. What that punishment is is outside my pay grade and occupation.
