Senate leader Mitch McConnell is already fielding questions about how the Senate Impeachment trial of Trump will proceed given that it is expected the House will approve Impeachment prior to Christmas.
My thoughts. I hope the Senate does a thorough public trial. Calls all of the witnesses including ones that the House refused to call and the ones interviewed in private. Let everything be known.
1) If Trump did everything that is alleged, remove Trump from office and appoint Pence President. Pence will then go on to win 2 more terms.
2) If there is no proof that Trump used his office with the specific intent to discredit a political opponent by use of a foreign government, acquit Trump. Let him go on to win another term, hopefully far more careful with his words and actions than he has been to date.
