I am pro beard for all services. 23 years in the Army and 7 deployments, I have been at MOPP ready for exactly one week. I can shave a beard faster than the military can issue out a protective mask. There is no reason to not allow beards other than many military leaders think they do not look professional.

So you have no argument against shore beards then? I can live with that, standards based on mission requirements. Not how the army does it though.
