What an amazing opportunityf for them!

I can't fathom fighting in the open in one of the coldest winters in that area. The Americans were outgunned, surrounded in many cases, infantry fighting panzers, and supplies were short. Their ability to defend the area is indicative and a testament of soldiers who had a don't quit attitude.
