The last flu shot I had - over 12 years ago - gave me the flu!!!

That's... the point. The vaccine is a weakened version of the flu. You get a LITTLE sick so your body can preproduce the necessary antibodies, that way you don't get the "child and elderly killing" version of the flu later on...

SFC Michael Hasbun - No, what I got was the 'death-bed flu'.....I had something coming out of every orifice for multiple days....couldn't walk for a week!!!!
I don't avoid any other vaccine or shot, but I will NEVER get another flu shot.....
