APOD: 2019 December 28 - A Distorted Sunrise Eclipse

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "A Distorted Sunrise Eclipse." Taken near Qatar on the morning of December 26th, the dark circle near the top of the atmospherically-reddened Sun is the Moon -- but so is the dark peak just below it. Called the Etruscan vase effect, this phenomenon occurs when light refracts through an atmospheric inversion layer (e.g. when the surface of the Earth or the oceans produces a layer of hot air of lower density, just at the surface). I've seen etruscan vase sunsets. This would be my first etruscan vase sunrise...with an eclipse to boot!
