I had an acquaintance (growing up in Baltimore) who was at Yankee Stadium in December, 1958 to watch that game. After the Colts won in overtime, he went onto the field and dug up a piece of turf from the exact spot (he claimed) where Alan Ameche carried the ball over the goal line to win the game in overtime. He kept it on a jar on a shelf in his home and was offered fortunes for it.
