One of my uncles was a PT person @ Buffalo VA for 40 years. My Father spent 3 months there in a diabetic coma when I was in 1st grade (1963). The only complaint about his care was once he woke up, they didn't want to let him come home. Spent over a month there shooting pool waiting for his MD's to release him. Finally he told them his family can't live on a credit card forever, and if they didn't want to release him, he was leaving. So they let him go. After becoming a Corpsman, I never understood that.

I have used the Buffalo VA for all of my health care for about the last 18 years. Sometimes they do a good job and other times they seem totally inept.
