"Who cares why they hate us?"
Yes, it really is emotionally unhealthy the way they want us to care about why terrorists hate us. It's like telling a woman in an abusive relationship to figure out why her husband keeps beating her.

It is incredible that the Democrats insist on blaming the victim. How conflicted they must feel when they campaign for rape victims castigating the rest of us for blaming the victim. You just know that in their heart-of-hearts they blame the rape victim...

They know it's intellectually wrong, but they can't bring themselves to rationalize the truth. That conflicted state, subconsciously, drives their misery and anger.

I care about why terrorists hate us - it is my job as a CA guy after all.
But I kind of view it like how I view trying to find the motive for mass shooters. It is good to know, but it generally boils down to they are losers who no one likes or can't handle setbacks due to their lack of social skills. Terrorists are pretty much the same thing, with similar motivations. They want praise in their twisted worldview
Now convincing them to have a healthy relationship is hard. After all, they've been living in their warped reality for a very long time and what passes for "normal" isn't the same as you or I see it. Terrorists, like mass shooter candidates, need someone much closer to them to make the intervention. America is not the best emissary for this. Perhaps the Saudis or Egyptians or Jordanians.

They may be "smart" but are DUMB in other areas such as common sense.
