Sorry for the Breitbart link if that offends you, but I can't find any other resource commenting on this. (Generally, a lack of comment from the ordinary media tends to indicate it's true but too embarrassing to report.) It seems that people aren't watching on television either. (It's hard to know what the Internet viewership is.) Sure, plenty of commentators are spending a lot of time pontificating about it, but that's to be expected whether anyone is watching or not. I've been going on the assumption that the Senate trial of President Trump will end on a partisan vote just like the House impeachment. Thus, the only value to the Democrats is that they will have something to campaign on. (Unfortunately for them, they don't have either a viable candidate or a viable campaign platform.) However, if We the People are showing so little interest in the House Impeachment and the Senate Trial, how much impact will either really have?

I watched15 min today ( Saturday). The White House Counsel laid out that there was NEVER a vote to authorize an impeachment investigation. The subpoenas issued by Schiff, Nadler et al were non consequential because they had no authority to issue them. Then he explained how the Democrats had denied due process. I watched an NPR video of anotherTrump attorney take apart the Ukrainian extortion Democratic fable. When I was driving during a trip I listened to some of the House hearing and then watched some of the House hearing. When I watched the Democrats in the Senate it was a rerun and was painful to watch. I compared watching the Democrats presentation in the Senate to watching an NPR documentary on paint drying while sitting naked on stinging nettles.

People aren't interested because we have seen all this before and the outcome is preordained. That must be driving the Schiffs and Nadlers of the world nuts.
