The Palestinians had several opportunities since WW2 to have a State of their own. They chose instead to reject every chance and to encourage other Countries to go to war with Israel resulting in further losses of land.

SSG Robert Ricci - My point was not to dissect the current situation. Over the last century Muslims have chosen poorly. But I agree that both Muslims and Jews share common ground.

There is no way the Palestinians will agree to a deal that gives them this kind of statehood. It's a complete farce and plays into the hands of those who claim the US is the great Western Satan.
