Opinions? Having just graduated 17-week 19D OSUT a month ago, I know personally there is a ton that I have learned in my very short time with my unit that I think they could have easily made time for in a 22-week cycle, but told us "there just isn't enough time."

Time and budget constraints are above most of our pay grades. But there is something positive to be said about getting you to your unit in a timely fashion. A lot of us prior service holdovers at the 22week OSUT for 11x and 18x would love to get through at 17weeks. I say if your unit can get you spun up and to their specific SOPs then it’s still a win for you.
