Yay! Mini Mike leaves...wonder who he will put his bucks behind?

I've been watching politics for a long time, and I think this might well go down in history as the biggest political bust ever.
And it was more than the 2020 cycle, too. Bloomberg spent a ton of money in the 2018 cycle too, shortly after converting into a Democrat. I suspect the plan was to carry that into campaign support in 2020 and agenda support if he were to win.
That's fine, and strategically smart. Up until 2019, it was working.
Where it goes off the rails is hubris.
Bloomie gets in the race, saying that he is skipping the initial states and concentrating on Super Tuesday and onwards. This *could* work, given that the field would thin out by then and he would avoid some scrutiny of his record on the primary side of the cycle.
Then he goes to a debate in Nevada.
I don't know if Mike thought he would skate through without coming under fire or what, but he came under fire and wilted. My guess is Mike was too darn smart to listen to his debate preppers.
Then he goes to a debate in South Carolina.
And pretty much doubles down on stumbling, tone-deaf answers to questions he had to know was coming.
Mike blew it. Just him, and no one else.
And cost himself a cool $500-800 million in the process, pending what he might spend going forward.
All because he is an entitled, narcissistic dumb ass who hasn't faced real scrutiny in years and didn't know what to do under pressure.

I have to hand it to the Democratic Primary voters, they figured him out.
But I also think that outside Bernie's following, they aren't enamored with anybody in the race. If this ends up a contested convention, look out.

Wow. Who knew he was running? Maybe if he had spent some money on ads he would’ve had a chance.
