They got what they voted for. Vote for trash, and you get trash-results.

Lots of this kind of stuff doesn't age well. We all were (and are) trying to strike the balance between safety and hysteria.

A lot of comments have been made, a lot of things have been done going back to January. I am not suggesting it is their fault but some of them like to cast blame at others. The root cause of most of our issues is the Chinese government hiding information, squelching doctors and media and misleading about the transfer fro person to person even getting WHO to parrot their propaganda.

Cpl Jeff N. - Don't forget the entirety of the government focused on impeachment while the danger was becoming apparent.

1SG (Join to see) - Some will argue this is the Democrats third attempt to remove the President. Considering Stalin and Mao killed millions of their own (and some friends) to stay in power, I would not be shocked at all.

If you're going to venture into political discussions, don't use the coronavirus tag. We want to keep that part of RP focused on updated information about the virus and how it's impacting our lives.

Cold reality is few people should be talking about COVID-19 as the factual, evidence based data out is so little to none. What people really need to be doing is what the CDC puts out and use the same methods those of us that have worked with infectious disease closely do everyday. Some of the things I have done for years is use hand sanitizer like it is going out of style, soap and water, I don't like to touch door handles in public and will use a tissue coming out of the bathroom, sleeves of my ACUs to turn door handles, don't like other people's pens, and regardless how well I know you, a hand shake is followed by hand sanitizer when you are out of sight. Fresh air is still better than stagnated air. There have been times I have taken care of some nasty bugs and showered at work, another time I had a bloody patient while wearing navy blue uniform where I disrobed in the garage. My scrubs with a clean patient never makes it past the first room in my house and similar to the mud rooms of past, it gets changed very quickly. None of this relaxing on the couch in my work clothes, that is just nasty. Things we have done for decades by those of us that work with sick people still work with COVID-19. If someone coughs near you, try exhaling and walking away. There are plenty of bugs out there than can kill and people need to take precautions similar to those until we really get good, evidence based information.

Cpl Jeff N. - The title of the article is "DEMS give dangerous coronavirus advice". That is what drew Kevin's attention. While your intent might have been to discuss while NY is worse off than others; others have posts articles from both side of the voting ballot that point figures at one side or the other. Right now, this COVID-19 issue is bigger than anyone's political party. In these uncertain times, I would hope that we can set politics aside and focus on community. That sadly, isn't happening.

Has anyone on this site heard about the Minnesota National Guard and Reserve and what they intend to do with 12,000 troops currently serving. If they don't get a Covid shot and a booster they could be kicked out of the Gaurd and Reserve. At a time when this treatment has been questioned and may indeed be doubtful as to its efficasy.
