I read a competition of the A-10 vs the F-35, it was not an impartial competition. The skies were blue. The A-10s were only given 400 rounds when it can carry 1100. They also fenagled loiter time of the F-35 to be the same as the A-10. I would not be surprised if the testers put explosive charges on targets to indicate F-35 hits. That is how much I trust the Air Force. The A-10s are superior in CAS. Then can do an incredible amount of damage before we have to even engage enemy formations. They can conduct massive attrition missions and give us great intelligence. They can fully engage the enemy to the point the enemy is decisively engaged which gives us the flexibility of movement to attack the enemy on our terms and terrain. That is exactly what Patton did.
