Being that the ACFT start date was postponed because Soldiers could not work out in a gym the Army needs to take a hard look at if this test is right for us.

CPL Earl Kochis my overall point is that if no gym access is why we had to push back the ACFT then they need to take a hard look if this is the right test for the Army. I get the APFT sucks, but if this excuse is why we postpone the new test then we are setting ourselves up for failure. Thats besides tue fact the time and equipment requirements are astronomical.

SPC (Join to see) they were already talking about postponing the roll out date due to legal review issues. I dont foresee the moving the date back up.
Google the ACFT IOC for all the info about scoring and how to run the test. It also includes exercises specific to each event to help you prepare.

Hopefully Soldiers had the initiative to find ways to prepare and workout!! The APFT was always a joke!! The new test is more geared towards strength instead of cardio. You can have all the cardio in the world but in a combat situation you need to have the strength to carry your equipment plus a battle buddy if necessary. I have looked at the new test and have watched several YouTube videos of troops as well as fitness experts and it seems to me they may have to adjust some of the events only if people don’t train for it. If you are still active pls have the foresight to circuit train your troops for their own benefit. 1SG (Join to see)

I am just waiting for one of the louder ones to pass out from hyperventilation because they breathing in their previous yelling.
