CMSgt,
How did we get here as a nation?
Answer: We got here. Because, our leadership got murdered in the 60's. Then, welfare destroyed the African American family. Which caused, increased broken homes, increased incarcerations, increase in violence and increased racism. Now, we have a sub-culture of victimhood that divides us even more.
This has been one part of a full court press to destroy American culture CMSgt.

It worked so well, CMSgt (Join to see) that the extreme left can't even see it. Thank God for people like Candice Owens, Officer Tatum and many others!

SSG (Join to see) - How would you know what an old white conservative answer would be? You brought in some good points. But the tone of your post is primitive.

PO3 Jason M. I’d appreciate if you could share a credible study showing that. Thanks.

PO3 Jason M. - I read the article and the gist of the author's argument is that LBJ's Great Society Program led to a dependency on the program and disincentivized single mothers from getting married. While I agree that having a two parent household could be better for the child than single households I don't agree that this even the root cause of Black America's ills. Without having to type up a whole dissertation I would point you to look at the effects of Jim Crow laws from Reconstruction to the 20th century and the use of black inmates as cheap labor. Redlining. If the black middle class isn't allowed to grow and is relegated to living in blighted communities how are they going to build wealth? No access to credit for home & business loans. Declining tax bases. Most school districts are funded from local property taxes. Well if the community is all low income how much funding do you think that school district is going to get? If kids aren't getting the education they need how are they going to be able to go to compete in the labor market or go to college? I haven't even mentioned dealing with childhood hunger or whatever dysfunctional situation may be at home.

Also by the 1960s the attitudes towards marriage had changed across the board for black & white people. Some women didn't want to get married. it's a complicated and cyclical issue.

The are not rioting and looting in anyone's name. They don't care about him. They just want to destroy and steal.

Justice just isn’t fast enough if the tables were turned this person would have been arrested the next day! That’s why the rioting happened and looting is just a part of it!!!
