Are politicians trying to have it both ways? Make orders to the public and send police to enforce the order, that may require force… and then not back up police when there are injuries.

"allegedly shoving". Should be caught red handed shoving 75-year old man denied it and then walked it back after being filmed. What a crock.

SFC (Join to see) - I don't see an immediate threat anywhere close to the old man. So we use the minimal force necessary.

SGT Nathan H. He wouldn't be able to do that since we used the minimal force necessary to detain a 75 year old man which wasnt much. Serve and protect. This isnt the Gestapo this is American police. We can go back and forth all day but it really wont matter. The cops we wrong and they have now been charged and suspended without pay.

Watched the incident and while the man was pushed he was not violently shoved, more of a “turn around and move your a$$”. Unfortunately the man fell and struck his head. And police did not disregard the man they did mill about with an “Oh shit” look and their faces and call for assistance.

PO3 Jason M. I saw that last night. With that additional information it looks like this whole thing was setup by Martin and whatever news crew filmed this. Don’t like to see anyone hurt, but it appears Martin brought any grief he gets out of this on himself. DA has jumped the gun charging the officers and I suspect after the city calms down will quietly drop the charges.
