Disney Fans Call to Change Splash Mountain Theme Due to Racist Inspiration

I have never understood the problem with "Song of the South". I've read the book. Have you? I doubt it. It's written in the vernacular. The author, Joel Chandler Harris, wanted to preserve the speech of the black slaves. The content of the book is anything but racist. It is full of wit and wisdom, the stories the slaves brought from Africa and used to preserve their culture and heritage. I have used several of them to teach moral lessons as I have found none better for the purpose. Sadly, as I pointed out in the beginning, I suspect that most are complaining out of ignorance
