These same soldiers existed in Iraq as well. Funniest number 6 in Iraq, was a guy who showed up missing one boot. He wore one boot and one sandal all day. I'm pretty sure he was a number 5 also.

Why stop at a list of 6? Let’s round up to an even 10.

#7. The Bacha Bazi enthusiasts. Enough said.
#8. The Spring-Fall guys. (They leave the ANA, ANBP, etc in the spring to fight with the Taliban. They leave the Taliban at the end of the fall for the ‘reconciliation’ process to ‘fight with the ANA, ANBP, etc. Basically, they resupply on the government dime through the winter and rest/recuperate for the following fighting season.)
#9. The straight up, green-on-blue types. Just waiting for the right moment. I did my fair share of time. Dismounts in Panjwai were always interesting. Growing two extra sets of eyes in the back of your head was necessary when on any type of joint operation.
10#. The Tactical acquisition expert. “Bro, are you wearing my Nike sneakers? When did you even have time to get those? I’m not even mad, that’s impressive”.
