Just because an artist portrayed Jesus as being white doesn't mean that He was. He was a Jew of middle eastern origins, so He looked more like the Arabs who populate the middle east than a white or Caucasian person.

Very true. I have some friends that have holiday statues with black Angles and Baby Jesus, are they wrong; I think not.

SFC (Join to see) One thing's for certain; Jesus wasn't a blue-eyed blonde, and He didn't have that pale, pasty complexion as many artists have portrayed Him. He also wasn't a limp-wristed soy-boy, because carpenters had to be tough hombres, since carpenters were also lumberjacks and stone masons.

This is humorous. If I’m not mistaken, at this time there were more white slaves than black.
