Respectfully, sir....you're right. It certainly does seem that BLM is more concentrated on matters involving police interactions with communities of color than the violence in Chicago. However, I believe that there currently are multiple community efforts in Chicago that do work in an attempt to address/quell the violence there.

I, as a person of color, do not fully stand behind much of the core fundamental principles and/or methods of BLM. However, I do understand and stand behind the sentiment "Black Lives Matter". Racial injustice in America is a largely historic and systemic problem. Police brutality has been a real problem. I won't say foolishly that all cops are bad....but there are bad ones....and they rarely (if ever) suffer any kind of consequences for their horrendous actions.

I am not defending cops. There do need to be reforms. The problem is people get played by images and videos that are altered. The classic is “ hands up don’t shoot”. Instead of waiting for facts people rush to judgement. A kid was choking at a BLM rally. Who did the mother run to? The police they were protesting? Who save the child? The police. Statistically a person has more of a chance of being killed lightening than being killed by cops.

I believe the original intent of the BLM movement was noble. However, I believe it's been hijacked by subversive people. When one of the current leaders states she is marxist trained, that is a real indicator of their true intent. Some of the members and supporters are being used by people who have been taught to hate our country which offers them the opportunities unavailable in any other country.

We who endured the cold war have an understanding about marxism and it's derivative ideologies that no one born after the soviet union's collapse will ever understand, because most or their teachers are all marxist trained without the marxist label.

Again, sir....with all due respect, I agree with much of what you said. I understand the stats of the likelihood of being killed by police. However, that is not the proper response to the fact that there is a problem. The families that have been denied justice would view that as highly insensitive....and rightfully so.

There are cases where many rushed to judgment. True. Yes the media spins stories. True. But then there are stories like George Floyd and others where there was straight up injustice.

Respectfully....I do NOT care about the stats when the fact of the matter is that there is a REAL problem. Hopefully you can see that and show some empathy instead.
