What a load of racist bullshit. Col Joseph Lenertz, you should be ashamed of yourself. This article only address riots and violence by the black community, and completely ignores violence and intimidation by the right and by white supremacists. Do you really think that the left approved of the "United We Stand" protests and riots and murder at Charlottesville? One died, nineteen more were injured. By the right. You've got police officers killed by a group called Boogaloo, again, right wing, white supremacists. You've got instigators arrested for planning riots in Las Vegas--again, from the right, white supremacists. But you've focused on the left and blacks.
You could have asked for calm on all sides, to understand the Floyd protests while condemning the riots. That's what you could have done.
Instead, you chose to fan the fire. Why is that?

Riots are riots. All of them. No left or right. Shame on you, Capt Gregory Prickett. You assign thoughts and motives to me which I do not have. I will not step back from calling riots what they are. The article is on the recent riots, and places the recent ones in historical context...and the rioters are not just black...there are white people looting and rioting and pulling down statues as well. This isn't about racism at all...it is about what riots do. What they leave behind.

Col Joseph Lenertz - If you don't have those thoughts and motives, then why did you post an article denigrating the left and that only focuses on blacks as the problem? Why post an article that fans the flames rather than one that looks at it from both sides, like the one that points out that peaceful protests by blacks were met by rubber bullets and tear gas, but when armed white protesters showed up to protest stay at home orders, none of that was used.

Exactly. The media has become enamored of the riots because it aligns with their agenda, but also because (perhaps more importantly, to them) it generates views.
