I am with you on all counts. I don't want foreign investiment in our infrastructure and nuclear is much cheaper and more reliable. It's been made much safer. Time for a relook.

With all of the “hot air” in the Beltway... shouldn’t more windmills be built in the Capitol?

Considering interference made on centrifuges via programming and PLCs, and even smart TVs, I tend to agree with you Colonel. Any foreign presence on US soil bears scrutiny. That should definitely include technology as well as ownership. Nuclear is way outside my wheelhouse. I know about the fission v. fusion debate and efforts at a glance. Much like the quantum computing effort. Strategic. Nuke materials are a finite resource without partial regeneration or reclamation. If we look toward the total package for longer term it may lead to synergies and optimizing efficiencies of the whole "earth" spectrum. Sun, air, water, weather, tides, nuclear, fossil/alternatives (until gone). If that model works, we'd be wise to keep the "earth" system working. Space is a good Plan B and contingency. The current effort is about minimizing space threat for assets ISO Natl. Sec. and industry. IMO. Life on Mars is far distant, but may occur someday.
