In this day and time, I would say that it depends on what the schools are actually teaching, here in Nevada it's not much.

There are a lot of schools I am unimpressed with. However, in a number of cases, kids are still at least in a safe place, they get food, get attention. A number of us identified at risk or ill kids who were not getting any care and we were able to get them what they needed. For a number of our kids, our schools provide both their breakfast and lunch and while some don't appreciate that, for others it provides the main nutrition in their day.

I'm in Fallon. It's horrible. My wife quit working for the school they were so bad.
Although the meals are decent, the internal politics, lack of dedication with the Administration and some very bad teachers from out of state are doing us.
I believe we are now within the worst 5 states for education.

Of course this is rational and reasonable. Would any intelligent people actually think children should be sitting home, possibly in an abusive house, or on the streets instead of in school? Sounds like a third world country thinking ...Thanks for OANN article
