For the record, I happen to be cadre at ASU. This story is completely false and misleading. This is in no way the instructions we were given by our PMS. That being said, I find it humorous how "brave" certain individuals are on social media regarding this topic. I find it funny how certain people have contacted me on social media to instruct me/chastise me, that I outrank. The majority of them questioned my professionalism in a very unprofessional manner. So my question to all of you is this; "Is it ok for a subordinate to disrespect a senior officer or non-commissioned officer based off of something they read on social media?"

Trey, I hope my post didn't appear to be an indictment of your character. I was merely pointing out some of the unprofessional acts that I have witnessed from others based off of what they had read.

It is never the right answer to disrespect a senior or a subordinate. If you have issue with a senior, you handle it tactfully and respectfully. Concerning social media, some folk need to mind their own business.

We had participants in the same event at my Comm Squadron at Beale last year. It's not something I personally feel inclined to do but it's a harmless show of support against reprehensible behavior.

Just don't expect it to accomplish anything of real significance. The one issue I have is that cadets are complaining about being pressured into participating. Participation should be voluntary only.

they should never have been forced into it. if they wanted to voulunteer they should have been afforded the chance but forcing someone to do it is just disgusting.
