CPT Jack Durish - I just tried to model myself on the way you posted, except for trying to insure that I was always correct on the facts. Any thanks that I am due is entirely a result of the example you set...

Capt Gregory Prickett - Gee, I must be as stupid as you think I am. I thought I posted a link to a well argued position and then supplemented it with a couple opinions of my own that had some sparse justification (of course, I did assume that the idea that an vibrant economy is essential to a successful defense is somewhat self-evident). But hey, thanks for reminding to that I am stupid and should wait for you to make a pronouncement. Sorry for all the juvenile irony there. It's just that your hubris does tend to set me off...

CPT Jack Durish - Jack, if you ever need a reminder of how stupid you are, please know I am willing to help. All the best.

CPT Jack Durish - MacDonald is an unabashed Trump propagandist, and is also one who is trying to cover up the racial disparity problem on why police officers kill more people of color than whites. It's not a "well argued position."

BTW, even though I was tempted to do so, I didn't say anything directly about the post and your adherence to those type of stories. Instead, I just responded to the passive-aggressive comment that you made about my "pronouncements" and such. I made my response in the same tone that you did, so if you didn't like it, and you want to blame someone for your bad feelz, look in a mirror.

"If the politicians who followed their advice weighed a greater set of considerations, balancing the potential harm from the virus against the harm from the shutdowns, they showed no sign of it. Instead, governors and mayors started rolling out one emergency decree after another to terminate economic activity, seemingly heedless of the consequences."

Unprecedented growth in domestic violence, hunger, lawlessness, education failure...a recipe for disaster if there ever was one.
