No, it would not be prudent to delay the election. And, while there may be a Constitutionally sound way of doing so, it would not be possible in the time left before the next election.

Desperately hoping to delay the election, hoping to have a COVID vaccine and declare victory on how the best President ever cured COVID - on his own, then held the election? Oh, I can see the stories and coverage on the spin zone channel already.
